“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace,
that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

DAY 3 — MEDITATIONS (OPTIONAL)
23 NOVEMBER 2024
Let us ask the intercession of St. Columban, Abott was born c. 543 -Leinster, Ireland
He departed for Eternal Life on Nov. 23, 615, Bobbio, Italy. He was an abbot and writer, one of the greatest missionaries of the Celtic church, who initiated a revival of spirituality on the European continent.
He was “Forcibly removed from his monastery at Luxovium (610), he went with Gall and other monks to Switzerland, where he preached to the Alemanni, a pagan Germanic people. Compelled to leave, he went to Italy and founded the monastery of Bobbio (c. 612–614).” SEE: https://www.britannica.com/biography/Saint-Columban
WARM-UP REFLECTION | WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHILD OF GOD?
Saturday evening focus to “Combat the Spirit of the World” for this 33-day Consecration is once again led by FR. DAVID MICHAEL MOSES who makes an invitation in 3 minutes to ponder the essential question of Season 2:
‘What does it mean to be “A Child of God”?’
Watch today’s video (posted yesterday to our subscribers of rosary365.substack.com) to begin this inquiry over the next posts as we continue these 12 days of distancing ourselves from the ‘Spirit of the World’ and embracing the Holy Spirit and the kingdom of God as described in the readings for Christ the King.
“WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A CHILD OF GOD?”
~ Father David Michael (TRANSCRIPT SEGMENT)
FATHER DAVID MICHAEL MOSES (IN RESPONSE TO AMELIA):
Yeah, so, what's beautiful about who God is is God is not just one person; God is actually three persons: one substance totally united. But God is Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. And the persons of the Trinity are separated, not by their substance (their essence), but by their relation to each other so that we have: God the Father, God the Son, and then God the Holy Spirit. And the beauty of Christianity is that God, even though he's totally happy in himself, he wants us to be a part of who he is.
And so God actually sends his only Son, Jesus, to make us like Jesus so that we also can become sons and daughters of God and then share in the love of the father and the son.
So I think ultimately being a ‘child of God’ is being able to experience the love of the Father and the Son, not only from the outside, but from within, which is kind of amazing that we actually get called into that love.
And ultimately that comes through baptism. So when we're baptized in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we become daughters and sons of God and we get to experience that love.

Finally, as you continue this inquiry, take 3-5 minutes to open your Bible and re-discover Matthew 6, 7, 8 over the next days before going to sleep tonight.1
RHP: Breviary, “The Divine Office”
Day 3 - Do you have a little time to pray “COMPLINE” w/ St. Columban, Abbot?
For Night Prayer, let us contemplate the memory of a beloved child of God, St. Columban who was trained in the classics and in theology — he founded monasteries and writes instruction in today’s Divine Office:
“If man applies the virtues planted in his souls to the right purpose, he will be like God. God’s commands have taught us to give him back the virtues he sowed in us in our first innocence. The First command is to love our Lord with our whole heart because he loved us first from the beginning, before our existence. Loving God renews his image in us. Anyone who loves God keeps his commandments, for he said,
“If you love me, keep my commandments.”
His command is that we love each other. In his own words:
“This is my command, that you love each other as I have loved you.” 2
DEEPENING OUR APPROACH TO THE JOYFUL MYSTERIES:
“THE SECRET OF JOY”
Last post, we asked the question: “How can we communicate our joy with others?” based on Padre Nuno’s observations on Joy.
In regards to this podcast, Karen and Amelia and our team wanted to celebrate Fr. Anthony’s video which reached 10,000 views in the last 24 hours.
More importantly, the prop that Fr. Anthony holds up is “The Secret Of The Rosary” — and we found an the online PDF of the book he models on the Rosary Hour Podcast. Click below for the download!

THE DIARY OF PRAYER
ROSARY MYSTERIES FOR BEGINNERS IN ENGLISH
USE THIS QUICK DECADE GUIDE FOR THIS EVENING'S PRAYER WAS CREATED BY AMELIA (10-years-old) for those new to the Rosary and need support and only have time for one decade this evening. Reviewed by Karen Rocha and Izzy Nunziato.
NOTE: As was the case with Zosia 3 years ago, her mom used this kind of document which was our FIRST digital toolkit for Rosary leaders to ensure she could pray at least one decade of the Rosary, only adding the other 4 decades on First Saturdays with Fr. Peter's live stream. The monthly meetings of Zosia and Amelia have helped them learn from the guide how to lead the Rosary in any context.
We invite you to use this two page e-document for children created by children, and with the Spiritual Direction support from Fr. Nuno Rocha (Portugal) and the various Spiritual Directors and advisors to the Rosary Hour Podcast, supporting our evolving understanding of the “WHY” behind our prayers since 2021. Thanks to Fr. David Michael Moses and Fr. Elias Mary Mills who have both recorded this version of the Rosary for the Rosary Hour Podcast.
A new digital toolkit will be available soon for our Advent Rosary focus on the Joyful Mysteries. Download the PDF to share with anyone you wish to invite to pray the Rosary with you tonight.
FINALLY, PRAY WITH YOUR ROSARY THE “DE PROFUNDIS”
PSALM 129/130

“May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.”

OPTIONAL PRAYER: Lord of Mercy, be close to those who call upon you. With Saint Louis Marie de Montfort to help us, hear and answer our prayers as we offer to You this daily Rosary and Psalm, so as to praise you and prepare our hearts for Your Sacred Heart this Advent.
Help us in this first part of the Consecration Journey to contemplate the miracle of your birth with the vision of your Mother, and our mother, Mary, and with St. Joseph her most chaste spouse. Like them, we wish to invite you into our hearts each day with the hope born for those who adore you and accept you as our Lord and King, the Prince of Peace.”
PREGHIERA ALL’ANGELO CUSTODE by PADRE PIO:
